As natural disasters impact our world, First Baptist Jackson stands ready to assist with love to those impacted. While Mississippi Baptist Convention Board disaster Relief teams are currently serving in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, preparations are being made for the potential needs following Hurricane Milton in Florida, and specifically for our partner church, Beachside Baptist Church, in New Smyrna Beach.

Currently, it looks like Milton will come very near Beachside Baptist Church as it exits the state on the east side and enters the Atlantic Ocean. Given its status, Milton will likely still have plenty of punch, even after traveling over land. Depending on needs, this will be a place that we will prioritize, since it is one of our partner church / mission sites.
