As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in grief therapy, caregivers, older adults, dementia, anxiety and depression. If you or a loved one have recently received a difficult diagnosis or suffered an unexpected loss, I will work to help you process and make sense of what comes next, whether it be a flood of emotions, anger, depression or bewildering numbness.
I have been a caregiver off and on over the course of my life and enjoy sharing what I have learned, what works and what doesn’t work, with other caregivers. My husband, Mark, a geriatrician at UMMC, and I enjoy speaking to support groups together, representing both the medical and psychological components of Alzheimer’s, other terminal illnesses, hospice, and palliative care.
If stress and anxiety are taking over your life and you find yourself making decisions that are life limiting, I will work to help you understand why and to empower you to reclaim your quality of life.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 9:00 am-3:00 pm
