About Joni Eareckson Tada
Joni Eareckson Tada, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Joni and Friends International Disability Center, is scheduled to be the featured speaker at the conference on February 28, 2014.
A diving accident in 1967 left Joni Eareckson, then 17, a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, without the use of her hands. After two years of rehabilitation, she emerged with new skills and a fresh determination to help others in similar situations. In 2003, Joni wrote her memoir “The God I Love,” chronicling lifetime walking with Jesus. Her latest book, “A Place of Healing,” recounts her recent journey through physical pain and questions concerning prayer for healing.
Her story is compelling and addresses all four health areas of our life – physical health, spiritual health, emotional health and intellectual health.
